Booking your vacation rental too late can come with a number of problems. The most obvious is that someone else winds up close to the beach instead of you. But that’s not the only thing that can go wrong. If you book too late, you might not get a place to stay at all. Somewhere in between is where most late bookers wind up. It comes down to not really getting what you want.
We recommend booking at least six months ahead. People who wind up with beachfront rentals often book as early as a year ahead of time. That means planning ahead and knowing when you are going to go on vacation.
